options weighing

so, I've been toyonhg with the idea of turning this blog into a book, but I am now feeling hesitant about it, I'm not ready to conclude my story just yet and feel that I would have to shut the blog down if I wrote the book, snd I'm not ready fo that yet, this has become an important part of my day and I'm, not ready to end my time blogging about my journey, since I don't know when or where the journey will end. any ideas? thoughts?concerns?

  1. Do what makes you happiest and keeps you on your path. You could always make this a more private blog....

  2. I think writing a book about your journey would be a fabulous idea! I think it would help so many people who are in similar situations to your own. But obviously, you need to do what's going to be best for you. This blog is wonderful, and I'd hate to see it shut down, I love coming here and reading up on your progress, it's so inspiring!
I don't know much about writing books (though I have a few half-finished novels sitting around) but I know a little bit about blogging. If there's anything that I can do to help, please let me know!

  3. Keep the blog. In the meantime, make some additional notes about each blog entry to help your memory when you do write the book. I envision it as a compilation: You'll reprint your blog entries, and you'll add other thoughts that are original to the book. Your family, friends, coworkers and healthcare pros can also add their own thoughts about what THEY experienced on various blog subjects. I'm a lurking fan, by the way. I subscribe to your blog and I feel such pride and awe in your accomplishments. I'm also from Kalamazoo and may have even met you at Summer Thyme in the days before your stroke.

  4. I also have been so inspired by your blog, Liz. I would encourage you to do both if you felt you could fit it in - there are several blogs that have spawned successful books and just kept right on blogging. I also agree whole-heartedly with Lora - do what makes you happiest and takes you in the direction you with to go. If you aren't certain which direction that is yet, you don't have to make the decision right now. Best wishes!
